Chamonix Cabs Terms and Conditions
CC refers to Chamonix Cabs
- 1) Smoking, consumption of food and drink, damage to vehicle
- Smoking and the consumption of illegal substances are prohibited within CC vehicles. Intoxicated persons will be refused entry to the vehicle and the booking will be cancelled. The company reserves the right to cancel the booking if the driver sees the person/s as a threat to themselves, the vehicle or the other passengers. Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated. The company reserves the right to cancel the booking under certain circumstances: for example, verbal or physical abuse towards any member or representative of CC and or any CC client. CC will recover the cost at the time of repairing any damage or cleaning to the vehicle caused by the client.
- Consumption of food is not allowed in CC Vehicles.
- Any damage / soiling of the vehicle by the client will be paid for by the client. Failure to do this will result in the booking being cancelled with no refund and all costs being recovered from the client by CC.
- 2) Luggage
- Luggage is limited to 2 items per person, for example, ski bag and suitcase. You must inform us at the time of booking if you have more than two items as this may incur an extra fee or your luggage may have to travel separately if space is limited. A high level of care is taken while loading and unloading customer bags, however property should be clearly labelled with the name and destination address. All clients property is carried at their own risk, CC accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of such property.
- If you are traveling with a bike CC must be informed of it at the time of booking and also the exact number of bikes at the time of your booking as this will dictate the type of vehicle we use. Failure to inform CC that you are traveling with a bike may result in CC having to cancel your booking if we have insufficient room, you will be liable for the cost of the booking.
- Ski and board bags may have to travel on the exterior of the vehicle.
- 3) Travelling with children/Child seats
- If you require child seats you must inform CC of the exact type and number at the time of your booking, failure to do so may result in CC cancelling your booking and you being liable for the full cost of the booking.
- The driver is not responsible for fitting a child seat even if provided by Chamonix Cabs. It is the parent's responsibility/guardian/group leader to check a seat that has already been fitted in the vehicle.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult unless by prior agreement.
- Children are not allowed to travel without using the appropriate seats.
- Children must be included in the total number of passengers travelling when booking.
- 4) Lost Luggage
- If you lose your luggage at the airport you must contact CC immediately on 0033679014602 or if you do not have a mobile go to your driver in arrivals at the designated meeting point immediately to inform them of your delay (you can access lost baggage from arrivals, your driver will show you where to go) failure to do this may result in your booking being cancelled. We will (where possible) accommodate this delay, in some cases due to prior scheduling commitments and other passengers traveling on the same transfer it may not be possible for the vehicle to wait while you sort out lost luggage, in this case we advise that the majority of your party travels on the booked transfer. We will try to find an alternative transfer to your destination (in some cases we may have to charge an additional fee).
- 5) Unforseen Circumstances
- For all arrangements between CC and our clients, CC cannot accept responsibility for changes or cancellation for your transfer in the case of Force Majeure, i.e. events beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, civil unrest, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural disasters, volcano's, fires, technical problems with the transport, redirected flights, airport closure, road closure, adverse weather conditions such as heavy snow, avalanche or the threat of. We cannot accept responsibility for the additional costs (e.g. accommodation, flight, travel costs) or loss of earnings that you may experience as the result of such an event happening.
- 6) Vehicles
- We cannot guarantee that the type of vehicle used will be the same as featured on our website. Sometimes it may be necessary to use an alternative vehicle or carrier for a booking. At times we may use vehicles that are not four wheel drive.
- 7) Partner Companies
- Occasionally it may be necessary to use a partner company for a clients booking. In this case we will inform the client of the name of the partner company and client will then be subject to the terms and conditions of that carrier and CC becomes a booking agent for that reservation.
- 8) Seat Belts
- Passenger safety is a priority, safety belts must be worn at all times when traveling with us, it is the group leaders responsibility to ensure that all passengers in their group are using seat belts. Any fines/costs resulting from passengers not using seat belts will be charged to the group leader.
- 9) Delayed Flights/Trains/Travel arrangements
- It is the client's responsibility to inform CC of any delays (this includes delayed flights lost bags, diverted flights and all other delays) missed or cancelled flights by telephone. We will do our best to accommodate any changes.
- If you have booked a shared transfer, the driver will wait for an hour after your booked arrival time after which you will have missed your transfer. Delays over an hour may result in you missing your transfer through no fault of Chamonix Cabs. We will where possible put you on our next available transfer with spaces on it or find alternative transport for you; group bookings may have to travel separately. In some cases this may involve an additional cost to the client and alternative transport provider.
- For Private transfers your driver will wait for 1hour 30min from your booked arrival time, after which time you will have missed you transfer. We do try and accommodate delays where possible and will not leave you stranded at the airport, however extra costs may be incurred due to delayed flights and these will be payable by the client. By prior agreement the vehicle may be able to wait for your delayed flight at an additional cost of E15 per hour payable to the driver, in other cases we may have to organise alternative transport with a different carrier, any additional costs incurred will be payable by the client.
- 10) Travel Details given at time of booking
- It is the clients responsibility to give correct details for all flight arrival landing times when travelling to the resort and flight departure times when travelling from the resort. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled without refund.
- The client must provide us with a contactable mobile telephone number, which must be switched on the day before and the day of any travel booked. We will use this number to contact you regarding any changes to your collection times.
- A correct collection and drop off address must be given at time of the booking; the name of an apartment/building is not enough.
- 11) Phone/verbal/witten/fax and all other bookings
- For all phone, verbal, fax, written and Internet bookings the client is deemed to have read and accepted CC's terms and conditions. The terms and conditions extend to all people in the booking. The group leader is responsible for all passengers conforming to these terms and conditions.
- 12) Travel Insurance
- It is the client's responsibility to have personal travel insurance; we strongly recommend that all passengers have travel insurance.
- 13) Fuel Surcharge
- If the price of diesel goes above E1.60/litre we reserve the right to levy a surcharge on all new bookings (you will be informed at the time of booking of this).
- 14) Ticket
- Your confirmation booking number is your ticket and must be shown to the driver on request and arrival at airport.
- 15) Chamonix cabs Liabililty
- CC liability is limited to its insurance contract conditions. When travel is provided by operators other than our selves CC is not liable.
- 16) Payment
- Payment is made in Euros by Credit card, cash, cheque, this must be paid before departure, or money transfers can be made to our bank at least 4 days before travel.
- 17) Collection Time from Resort
- Failure of the client to be at the agreed pick up address at the agreed time may result in your booking being cancelled.
- If a client prefers to leave the resort at a later time than CC has recommended then CC can take no responsibility for any missed flights/connections.
- 18) Cancellations of bookings
- Shared transfers are non refundable. We reserve the right to recover the full payment from you or your resort representative for the full amount of your booking. We will where possible try to accommodate any changes that you need to make to your booking, sometimes additional costs may be incurred which is payable by the client.
- Private transfers are refundable 2 weeks prior to travel minus any administration fees incurred. We will try where possible to accommodate any changes to your travel plans.
- 19) Complaints
- In the unlikely event of a complaint please email Chamonix Cabs within 28 days of the event and we will try to reply within 2 weeks.
- 20) Legal
- Chamonix Cabs is a French company and any disputes that cannot be settled between the parties involved will be subject to French Law.
